Roasted Cajun Nut Mix

Preparing your own nut mix is super easy, fun, and the perfect snack option! This recipe is simple and the spice options are limitless. I’ve made this recipe using Cajun blends (Slap Yo’ Momma), Old Bay, The Spice Hunter Smoky Turmeric, and more!

Start with finding raw nuts and seeds. HEB has a wonderful selection of raw options in its bulk section. Raw nuts and seeds that are left over can be stored for months in the freezer making it easy for you to pull out and make another batch at any time!

Raw Seed and Nut Recipe

For this recipe, I used a raw nut mix, pecans, pistachios, and pumpkin seeds. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. In a medium bowl, I added a mixture of melted unsalted butter, lemon zest, and Cajun spice to the mix and toss it together.

On a large parchment-lined baking sheet spread the mix evenly across the pan and sprinkle with a bit more spice. Place them in the oven for 12-15 minutes, tossing halfway through. When you begin to smell the aroma you will know they are done and ready to pull out.

Allow the mixture to completely cool before storing them in an airtight container!

As always, I hope that you love this recipe and I would love to know the spices that you choose to use to make it your own. Please check out our other nuts mixes and recipes!
